Aaron Oppegard is an attorney at Suhre & Associates, focusing his practice on criminal defense throughout Kentucky. He is licensed to practice in all Kentucky state courts, as well as the federal courts in the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.
A Lexington native, Aaron graduated a semester early from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He began his legal career at a DUI defense firm in Louisville before serving as a staff attorney in both the Fayette County Circuit Court and the Pulaski County Judicial Center. Before joining Suhre & Associates, he spent three and a half years practicing in the Lexington office of a respected mid-Atlantic law firm.
Aaron takes pride in standing up for individuals facing powerful institutions, dedicating himself to protecting his clients’ rights and advocating for those often considered underdogs. He is proud to carry out that mission at Suhre & Associates.
Outside the courtroom, Aaron enjoys playing sports, traveling, and spending time with his wife and friends. He left Kentucky briefly to play college soccer in Iowa before returning home to attend law school at the University of Kentucky. He now resides in Lexington with his wife.
